Description:

“KAYAN” group sculpture exhibition featured art works by artists from Palestine and the Golan, working in different materials such as bronze, wood, iron, stone, and clay, and adopting space as a necessary equivalent in structured forms. A vague entity then comes into, being not in the tangible part of the sculpture, but in the hidden extension of the work.

In KAYAN, the sculptures weave through traditional, abstract, impressionist, and contemporary forms of expression. They play between the thin lines of fantasy and reality, seeking to explore their clear and vague structure that manifest in an ambiguous form, that seem on the verge of being or on the brink of collapse. The sculptures at KAYAN exhibition are looking for an entity of their own, and in this attempt, discovers that openness to the possibility of form is its true entity, imprisoned in its permanent mobility in space.
